I was born in 1943, grew up in Miami, Florida and moved to Sweden in 1969. I live in Uppsala, a pleasant university town of moderate size,
a place where you don’t "disappear". I am married to Karin and the father of two wonderful girls, Elisabeth and Christine.
I worked primarily as a photography instructor but have also been active in other ways: I organized (and sometimes lead)
photoworkshops in the summer, was curator for photo exhibitions in the Ålenius Room at Uppland’s County Museum
and active in the publishing company BILDiBOK. I taught at Folkuniversitetet at Uppsala University until I started up the
photography department at Komvux, a technical trade school. I went full circle and was back at Folkuniversitetet again for a while,
until I retired from teaching in September of 2009. I also work as a freelance writer.
I photograph primarily in black and white, in projects, non-commercial. I show my pictures in exhibitions, make artists books,
and have recently discovered the magic in print-on-demand.
